DESCRIPTION:Time as the 4th dimension in dental implantology\nwith Dr. Gilbert Tremblay \n(presented in English) \nSchedule:\nSeptember 22\, 2026\n• Lecture: 7:00pm to 9:00pm \nDescription:\nTime as the Fourth Dimension in Dental Implantology\nMinimizing the exposure time of open-flap surgery will reduce: postoperative edema\, incision line opening\, postoperative infection\, postoperative discomfort\, patient morbidity\, postoperative medication use\, and for the surgeon\, overall operative time. This clearly represents a significant benefit for the patient.\nThis lecture is based on a two-part presentation of multiple clinical cases. \n1) Surgical Phase\nStereolithography\, surgical guides\, bone graft guides\, bone reduction guides\, sinus window guides\, GT incision guides\, and optical scans will be utilized to reduce surgical time.\nTissue regeneration using bone substitutes such as allografts\, xenografts\, PDGF\, PRP\, A-PRF\, and BMP-2 will be implemented in order to avoid the need for a second surgical donor site. \n2) Prosthetic / Loading Phase\nImmediate loading in the esthetic zone using All-on-X treatment concepts without bone grafting to further optimize treatment time. \nLearning Objectives\n• Understand how 3D technology can improve treatment predictability\, safety\, and precision.\n• Recognize the clinical benefits of time reduction for both the patient and the surgeon.\n• Understand the advantages of tissue substitutes in minimally invasive implantology.
